I really like your less lacy variation of the shell or fan lace. You brought back a lot of memories when you showed the wooden needles. Many years ago, I found myself in a strange location, with no one around that I knew, and very, very few resources. Thankfully, my parents, who were still alive then, sent me a package with yarn. I was doing more crochet then, but just having a way to occupy my hands and brain was a lifesaver. However, I found myself with no yarn needles and no money. I actually went out and found a tiny, green twig, managed to create an "eye" at one end, and actually used the walkway to smooth down the pointed end. It was not pretty, like the one you showed, but it worked, and I kept it for years to remind me that a bit of imagination and effort can resolve problems. Thank you for reminding me of that now. ❤❤❤

Good for you for having the courage to see a therapist and support your mental health! I’m a huge proponent of therapy; I think everybody would benefit from talking to a professional. I so enjoy you and your podcast (and your designs!), and look forward to many more episodes. Enjoy your holiday! 🥰

Every time you come out with a new design my jaw drops a notch farther. I’m in awe! And since I’m not a very fast knitter, have the hard choice of just picking one! I love the idea of a cotton short sleeve version of this cardigan, that would be so cute!
Laughed out loud at your secretive meeting knitting…. Only other knitters would notice subtle glances down or slight elbow movements… it’s the perfect facade for getting a lot done! Have a lovely trip!

Thank you Rebecca for another wonderful episode. You are inspiring - and not just for your amazing knitting. I think it’s so good that you spoke about your possible layoff stress and how much talking with someone really helped. We all go through tough times and being able to share that and get some understanding and coping strategies is so valuable.
Your blue cardigan looks so good on you!
