This song has been a frequent one of mine recently. A year ago I lost both my childhood dogs--one planned in her elder years, and one unexpectedly to a heart attack. Just about a month ago my cat was diagnosed with kidney failure and, as much as we tried with fluids and foods and whatever else, her time is coming soon. My precious kitty, who puts me to bed and sleeps next to me every night, who comes to me no matter where she is in the house when im crying, who curls up on whatever jacket or shirt bag of mine is on the floor, and im losing her now. I think my heart is breaking in two and theres nothing i can do but be there for her, and take comfort in knowing we will meet again, one way or another.
