I love when the one kid screws up and Calls Flea, "Flea" instead of his character's name, and they just left it in the film.

this movie was a HUGE part of my teen years - growing up in a crappy working class city, poor & depressed, it seemed so cool to squat & do whatever you please. Not sure I'd care for that life style now that I'm a "grown up". Still love this movie, though!

The movie is all about small details that you have to find out, everytime you watch it. Words on the walls, mistakes while taping the movie, a lot of things that made this an all time favourite! I was 15 when I first watch it...I´m going to be 41 soon! Still have a dvd here...

Forgot all about this movie. Watched it in the late 80's. It was one of those movies that changed the scene in my city back then. Cool flick.

Movie filmed in Downey, CA. Liquor store scene filmed on corner of Florence and paramount. The house where they lived was where the 105 freeway runs now through Downey.

I lived right around the corner from the mortuary where the fight scene was from 1973 to 1991 and passed by that mortuary thousands of times to go to the liquor store It will always smelled bad. It's no longer there it's now a warehouse for a company As a kid i went inside there only once and ate all the sugar cubes lol. When they run out of the mortuary their running the same direction where my old home was and you can see my child hood friends house and if you look close you can see the 10 freeway. The 18th street Hispanic gang would hang out there in the alley that lead to the city park. They snored smoked and sold pcp angel dust crack etc. They would have punk gigs in that park my cousins and older brother were punks cause they liked that music

Is it hard to believe that most of the young people in this movie are now in their 50s?

I love this movie so much . The early scene with dri singing Richie hung himself while the crowd rips that chicks clothes off was so fucked ip . Flea was great in this flick he looked like a young Harley Flanagan if he didn’t find success in the chili peppers he could have easily of took on an acting career Underrated classic

I just discovered the 1996 one was a remake/reimagined. Never known this exist, makes you think after 40 years youth is forever the same, just different gadgets
