We Canadians are gutted. Please be just a little gentler for just a bitā€¦ RIP Neil Peart. Sept 12, 1952 - Jan 7, 2020 He had brain cancer for 3 yrs(?) and Neil was always a private man so, it was kept secret. During this interview, Geddy knewā€¦ Neil lost his daughter (car accident) and his wife in the space of 10 monthsā€¦He wrote lyrics and over 12 novels. Geddy's parents met in a concentration campā€¦ Love forever, from Toronto ā™„ā™„ā™„ You will never see their like again! A 3-man band that retires with all the original members and with class. All musical virtuosos and decent human beingsā€”they could only come from CANADA!! ā™„

Geddy is seriously the most humble dude to be on a stage. Such a cool guy.

All my life I have been so enamored by the jack swigging, coke fueled, rehab riddled, rock n rollers and all along this dude is by far one of if not the nicest, coolest rockin' rollers of them all.

Best rock musician EVER. Multi-tasker extraordinaire. Perfect voice. Beyond unbelievable worker and producer. And I'm not even Canadian!

I think Geddy nailed it when he said, ā€œ I feel like out humor is the 4th member of the band ā€œ I have always felt that people see these 3 guys, and feel the friendship they have as a big part of the band, It doesnā€™t hurt that the music is amazing , but people can feel how much they care for each other and that is very clearly out in the open. I really think that is the key to why fans are so strong and loyal to them.

This band NEVER disappoints me. I'm 69 years young and I've been a Rock fan since I was 10. They are the ultimate musicians and Geddy is such a special singer. For those that don't care for his voice, I suppose they don't and will never enjoy OPERA. I'm not saying that Geddy's voice is like an Opera singer but I am saying his voice is very special. His bass playing is simply spectacular and the fact that he can play the Bass Pedals and play the organ at the same time is terrific. Alex's guitar playing is like no one else's. He doesn't play Blues licks. He plays Rush licks. Again totally original. Neil as everyone knows was one of the greatest drummers of any era. Without Neil, they wouldn't have been the same band. He was a very different/special man who's last years of his life were horrible. It makes it difficult for me to believe in GOD. May the memories of the band RUSH live on.

Rush and ZZTop have two different musical styles and are two different bands but always admired how both bands have 3 people who are so down to earth with no egos and just enjoy making music together and respect each other.

Just had to note how on top of it this Kylie Olsson is. She asks interesting questions in a natural progression, and never really falls back rote fluff like so many Music Personality interviewers. She seems more interested in Geddy Lee & Rush than just trying to get a slick interview package done. Well done Ms. Ollson.
