Load SampleOne
Load the desired sample into SampleOne by click + drag. By default it loads to the MIDI note C3.
In a MIDI event on the SampleOne track, make 4-6 MIDI triggers lasting however long you'd like the sample to play. I used a 1/16th note for the snare drum as an example.
Add the Note Fx Arpeggiator to SampleOne
Set the Arpeggiator rate to the same as the sample length
Set the Arpeggiator Play Mode to Random (icon looks like a scatter plot)
Set up a loop playing the sample MIDI triggers
Hear the pitch change randomly with each loop
Hard mode: load the desired sample into several SampleOne keys, each with the same sample. On each key, change the Tune knob by about 50-75 cents or so. For a snare drum, it sounds more natural to have a little pitch change with each note. I did that at the end of the video.
