Apparently my very unimportant neighborhood has some important power lines running through it, and so again, we lucked out. From here, I'll try to use every resource at my disposal to help the people around me and then move on to the trails. We don't know the extent of the damage yet, but we're sure it's going to require a huge effort. Thank you all for supporting my platform. I'll do all I can on your behalf to use it for good.

Seth. Fan from UK here.
You mention at the Ranger Station that you don't deserve to be left unscathed. A lot will beg to differ. You've helped build bike parks. Given away numerous bikes. Fixed others. Inspired countless cyclists across the globe with your chanel. A chanel which isn't just entertaining, but informative and suitable for all ages.
You are an inspiration within the cycling community. You are even out checking on others that might be less fortunate. Huge respect to you 👏

Hey Seth, my name is Bryant. We met once last year. I was working for TPS and did some lawn care at your property. We spoke for a hot minute about our backgrounds in riding. I grew up on the Northeast in the early 2000’s, was deep in the downhill scene.
I live in Edneyville, just above Gerton and Chimney Rock. We’re in trouble here, supplies are running dangerously low. The shelter in Edneyville has no diapers left. Water and fuel are short. If you could get the word out that we’re looking for supplies across the greater Asheville area, it would be a great help.
Thanks man, you’re the reason I found my love for downhill and freeride again.

I just finished an 8 hour round trip (usually takes 2) to take my wife's parents with two generators and about 25 gallons of water. They live in Fairview, right down the road from Chimney Rock. My father in laws business literally washed away. 50 years of work, gone. That said, what hasn't hit the news yet is that in the Garren Creek area at least 10 people are confirmed dead and more are missing. A 10 YO was rescued naked in a tree two days ago. The rest of his family has not been recovered. Its a mind blowing tragedy that is just starting to unfold.

Citizens are doing an amazing job informing the public via posts like this. We are praying for everyone. My family are in Chapin, SC and just lost power. They were lucky. We are shocked by the devastation. I live in Ireland now but spend a lot of time in the south when I am state side. The media have not covered this here in Ireland to show the utter heartbreaking loss of life, homes, businesses and infrastructure. God bless you all. Stay safe.

I live in Greenville, SC and just got power turned on tonight at 11:37pm 10/2/24…I’ve been without power since 9/27/24 and feel so blessed to have the basic things I had taken for granted. Please pray for those that are still missing, lost everything, and the rest of us that we can continue to rebuild what’s been lost. Thanks, sincerely, in advance.

As a native Floridian who has lived through every hurricane the past 60 years I feel your pain, It's times like these that you find out who your friends and neighbors are and if you come together you can make a difference. We are used to storms and we know how to deal with it, you guys up there are not signed to survive 1000 year storms. You will come back, it will just take a while. glad you and your family are safe and thank goodness for generators and fresh water wells

Shoutout to Papa's Pizza ToGo in Franklin, NC! We called them, ordered a pizza, and had it delivered to our grandparents there. They called us back and let us know that they were doing well and safe!
