“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."- Martin Luther King Jr.🔥🔥

My father had an opportunity to meet MLK and shake his hand when he came to our city back in the 60's. My father, who greatly admired MLK, simply said of that meeting, "This was no ordinary man".

"Human beings cannot continue to do wrong without eventually rationalizing that wrong." I love him.

Seeing him interviewed really reveals who he was, because he had to come up with these brilliant responses on the spot. I never saw that side of him. So impressive.

Every time I hear him speak, my spirit is moved. So eloquent, with a tone of honesty and integrity. He is still, very impactful. His ability to articulate in such a simple, yet profound way is amazing. Amazing man

"I have a dream" Is the speech we wanted to hear. "The new struggle" is the speech we needed to hear.

His profundity, erudition, clarity of thought, the ability to interweave historical context of black history in America was magnificent. Dr. King was in many ways a modern day prophet and a catalyst for far reaching change. Imagine a man with his mind/ spirit/ articulateness as President. RIP MLK , and grateful eternally that you came into the world for a time.
