I have something to show you.

A world that exists behind our minds,
seeping through the cracks in our faces.

Vast, filled with beautiful malevolence, seething with gravity.

It pricked me one day, a thorn in my foot.
Something subtle, yet spreading through my frame, cell by cell, splicing into my RNA,
making my belly swell with its potent malice.

Two years later it emerged from my womb, opened its mouth, and screamed with a voice like thunder.

Poor, angry little god.

Welcome to the hell that saved me
The demon that died for my sins
The frenzy of the ancients
Divine, fractalized madness

Welcome to EXUVIUM.

LYRICS:

I see the birth and death of the universe swimming around in your eyes

Datura yellow gazing through my mind

Datura yellow gazing through my mind

Datura yellow gazing through my mind

Datura yellow gazing through my mind

Datura yellow gazing through my mind

A p-p-purring with itā€™s poison should I let it lay or p-p-pluck and pull it down a willing throat

To lead me to the place where I have shattered

Ooooo

A question that I find is harmless

But at night it seeps in through my eyes

Arresting and caressing every fold and strand I leave to loose

I feel it pull and I unravel

Oooo

Slither through my soil

Oooo

Bring me to a boil

Oooo

Feel my atoms rising

Oooo

Terminal velocity

I see the birth and death of the universe swimming around in her eyes

Eternal monoliths of storms past

You have my attention.

Haunt me in all of your ways.

I see her fingers bending backwards twist and turn and tie themselves together

Beckoning behind her back with fingers dripping rainbow puddles singing to me ā€œcome and drink of many watersā€

Oh God I am dissolving disapperating folding flying feeling every color swarming

slipping past my skin like snakes they hear me waiting

Skin abuzz with weight under their gravitation

I see her fingers bending backwards twist and turn and tie themselves together

Beckoning behind her back with fingers dripping rainbow puddles singing to me ā€œcome and drink of many watersā€

Sings ā€œIā€™ll look into the wind Iā€™ll look into the flame Iā€™ll dig into the earth and swallow it again

Iā€™ll find you in the safe and quiet place inside your mind and expose all the beauty in your terrorā€

The void is awaking

Creating, degrading

Eternal, unfading

The siren is waiting

The void is awaking

Creating, degrading

Eternal, unfading

The siren is waiting

Paroxysm: a sudden attack or violent expression of a particular emotion. This song encapsulates that perfectly.

itā€™s so interesting how each song youā€™ve released so far has touched a different realm of emotions.
i love how datura starts off softly but eventually just releases everything onto you. the only breaths you can really hear are the quickening, wavering breaths of panic in the interlude. the vocals and lyrics really capture that feeling of paroxysm. it really feels like this song springs from the same places that anachronism, drip and cephalotus came from. itā€™s as if you drained blood from each of those songs and after mixing it all it contorted into what datura is. i love it man

This man is one of the few, imo, that truly makes good music. Amazing how he can make a song about such a complex emotion and make you feel it.

Just from the beginning melody I already knew this was going to be my favorite of the batch so far. However, I was not prepared for the absolutely haunting piece of art that was the rest of this song.
Every album you release just has a palpable atmosphere to it and I am loving the raw/unhinged emotions you are pouring into Oblivion Part 2 so far. Stay Awesome, Crywolf!

Isn't datura a plant? I remember ingesting that plant and it was at hell's door, every emotion thrown at me at once. I just feel like this song really describes that moment very well. Such a beautiful flower that can cause so much pain. I still don't feel the same thinking about it. Anyways, I really love your music, couldn't wait to hear this one. Your music always stirs that part in me I can't quite describe, it's amazing.

A completely different feel to the last two, but no less gorgeous. You're genuinely one of the most exciting voices in the industry.

Woah ā¤ With every song you amaze deeper, than before šŸ–¤šŸ„€
It's like a neverending battle where two different voices talk into one ear each, dragging the canvas from one side to another, speeding up the pace, or making it so slow, it barely moves. So much chaos and splitting nature.
Trying to follow both at once is impossible, but one needs to know both of them to get the whole picture

I learned about datura from reddit a few days ago, and was looking for documentary style videos on youtube about it and found this. I recognized your name from Halloween, 1987 which has become one of my favorite songs so I saved it to listen to later. pleased to hear such a different style. i'm looking forward to giving it another close listen later with headphones :)

I think that this is shaping up to be my favorite album of yours ever. It's dark, it's moody, it's melancholic, but there's a thread of beauty beneath it all. I can't wait to hear more!
