I was young when I first came across this quote. I was reading Beyond Good and Evil on an airplane ride from somewhere to nowhere and this line just jumped out of the book. I don't really remember anything else from the book, but this quote immediately seared itself into my brain. I've lived with its barbed comfort ever since.

It is a comfortable thought. Just think, thst no matter what happens. No matter how utterly dreadful life gets; you can take matters into your own hands and just leave. Leave on your terms. Destroying the physical and deleting your avatar in this madman game of earth is wonderful to know asvan option.
