Confirmed method to get them out without combat.
1) Cast a Wall of Stone (scroll if needed) across the front of the tiefling cell. This is to block the view of the pathing guard. The wall can be extending and made to be very long by dragging when casting.
2) Use Misty Step or the shape shift spell to get into the tiefling cell from the side.
3) Break open the wall with melee blunt weapon.
4) The tieflings will then break the chains on the boat, when they are almost finished to break the gnome wall from the boat side. This will trigger an unavoidable script event that puts the guards into motion.
5) The gnomes will make it to the boat before the guards and the warden.
Disclaimer: The warden and guards will be hostile after this if you return, but not the rest of the Moonrise Towers.

Excellent Guide (once again). Two things, jump down the green colored hole in the floor. Grab the tadpole and loot off the dead soldier. Loot the goblin behind the membrane (breakable). Finish off that section (go out). Lastly, Speak to Bex (female Tiefling) down by the river to complete the quest (once you've spoken to the others in the Inn).

I did these 5 steps and it worked out very well, hope it helps one of you:
1) I took Wulbren's hammer and handed it to him.
2) I split the group and took them to the camp, leaving only Astarion, as he has the fog spell that blinds enemies.
3) I cast a fog in the tieflings' cell and went back to talk to the goblins to start the escape.
4) As soon as the goblins began to break the wall, I cast another fog at the cell door.
5) When the wall broke, I ran straight to break the boat chains while the goblins went to break the tieflings' wall.

for those wondering your TAV doesnt need to be the one to do this. I had Gale learn the needed spells and had him run off to do this mission. Gave the Gnome a random 2h hammer i had and just fused darkness on the hall, and used magic missiles to power thru the chains had them down before the gnome and teiflings made it back

Very complicated. If you go to the other side of the prison there are 2 walls. You can split your team into 2 gropus and turn on the turns so that in one turn both walls get destroyed. After they are destroyed turn your team members immediately towards the boat. The prisoners will run toward the boat by themselves. There you help cut the chains and run away in the boat together. This is a much more simple way and works just as well.

I just went into the Warden's tower, attacked her and killed everyone else that showed up. And the only person I really had to "fight" was the Warden herself. I had Halsin cast Spike Growth right outside the door, then sent my wizard up to the top of the tower and cast Cloud of Daggers on the bridge. Then I just sat around taking potshots until everything was dead. After the fight I picked up Wulbren's hammer, tossed it to him and he broke everyone out. Reinforcements didn't even show up, maybe because there were no more floating eyes. Weird thing was, the guards way back at the entrance to the dungeon didn't even notice.

I weakened the walls from behind, stationed Karlach at the back of the tiefling wall. Then used Gale with misty step to get into the Gnome's cell and give go time, obscured the gate. Once the wall broke, i broke the tiefling wall with karlch and then just ran to the boat. Break the chains beforehand

Did they patch this or something? I've blocked the entrance the gnomes break with wall of stone, used darkness and they still walk through the wall. I've put chests in the opening, and they appear next to the boat, I've put the chests in front of the gate, they don't open it, but they appear by the boat still.

hey guys, so after the patch 3 the warden and guards were always spawing next to the boat, so to rescue without anyone dying, i killed the warden first, then 3 guards that come to her aid.. this way the bars stayed close, so no prisioners died. To make it easier go kill the wartden inside the tower with 3 party members, and leave 1 outside to deal with the orbs so no reinforcements come. After that in the same tower ground floor there are a couple of levers, I used the main one to open all, but probably 1 is enough.

Just a note, someone said to just immediately give homeboy a hammer and the SECOND you hear someone yell âRUNâ fast travel to Last Light Inn! Worked for me and no one became hostile! Just donât go into the cells, theyâll consider that trespassing.
