More than one and a half years ago, Westerman made one of the prettiest songs of the decade with Confirmation. And that’s no exaggeration. Somewhere in between Arthur Russell and Sting, Westerman and his producer Bullion are creating a universe of their own. It’s a universe you don’t only want to hear every day, but a universe in which you’d like to live. And that’s exactly what Westerman tries to create. No surprise then that a three-year-old felt so at home in Westermans music that he invaded his stage during his session last Eurosonic. We spoke with Avatar Aang’s big brother about finding the essence in minimal production and how he battles lo-fi as an aesthetic choice.

Bullion's production work with Westeman is so amazing. Perfect match.
