I actually had a teacher who did this lesson with our class. I didn't complain, and I was in the back. When my teacher said to start throwing the paper balls I began to move my desk from the back of the row to the front. This made my teacher angry and started to say I was cheating, while I was bringing my desk even closer to the front so I was sure that I would make the shot. My teacher looked at me angrily saying that I wasn't following the rules.
I told her, "I threw the paper ball into the basket from my seat, you said nothing about me actually moving my seat." She then turned to the class and began discussing privilege and I realized what she was trying to portray and how the people in the back complained more than people in the front, she then glared at me and told me to move my desk back. Before I moved, I asked her,
"so, what does this lesson say about me then? I was in the back, and while people in my row complained that it was unfair, I was figuring out a way to make my odds better by working hard and moving my way up. Could hard work and dedication mitigate privilege to the point where I have better odds of being successful than even the most privileged of people, as made example by what I just did?" It was an honest question, hoping that she'd say something similar to 'yes, but the fact you had to do more work than the others were unfair' or something like that, but instead she told me to put my desk back and gave me detention.
Apparently she didn't have an answer.

We did this game in class, I am very antisocial so I always sit in the corner of the very back row. The bin was in the middle front of the room exactly like in the video. People in the second row were complaining and laughing thinking that I couldn't do it because I was a the very back (4th row). I actually shot the paper ball right into the bin.
Science!

This isn't really about race... It's more about class. Of course someone from a wealthy family will have a better shot at life than someone from a poor family. Simple as that.
