I just tried this a few months back, I absolutely am in love with it. the best chocolate milk ever. and by no means do I normally enjoy a desserty stout, but this ones just right up my alley.

This is a good beer, was my introduction to sweet chocolate stouts many years ago. Bottle cost has risen to over 6 euros in Finland though (around 5 pounds) so if I'm in the mood for a chocolatey beer I usually end up grabbing the much cheaper Young's double choc.

I used to really like this and their fruit beers, but they seem to me to have changed for the worse since Covid. In the SS pubs they’ve shot up in price and the choc stout is now a 330ml bottle. The wheat beer is probably my favourite. You should make a video at one of their pubs Simon. Find one that has the Dark Mild on, a recent addition to their range.

I bought this from a nice little shop in Whitby, yesterday, and had it whilst watching the review. As I opened the bottle I got the cheap chocolate whiff, just as you made the point on the video. I thought: "I'm going to like this", and I did!
As it went down it was like drinking cold hot chocolate - very nice indeed.

I have plenty of samuel smiths pubs to go to living in leeds and the beers are great. Weather you like humphreys or not (I don't particularly) his brewery is one of the best for quality. I just don't particularly like all the rules for his pubs.

I'm sorry but if my daughter was ill in hospital I would not abandon her and my wife to go to a bottle shop. Beer would be the last thing on my mind. You really do have a problem if that's your mindset.

Most uk bottled beers are pasteurised, including Sam Smiths i think. I'm not a Camra fan but I agree with them that beer is better without pasteurisation. Natural carbonation is better too, in my opinion.
