To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind may clarity replace confusion. may peace and calmness fill your life.

Who else loved back in the '70s '80s & '90s when soft rock ruled the charts?? And then sadly by the turn of the century it slipped away.

I was friends with Paul Davis in Atlanta in 1981. He came into my little guitar shop in Roswell with his producer. We hit it off and saw each other often. He was just a real simple soft spoken country boy. He encouraged my songwriting which I appreciated because I'm not a singer. I have great memories of my life in Atlanta in the early 80's playing with some wonderful musicians and just having a really nice life. RIP Paul.

70s and 80s adult contemporary is some of the best music to come out of the 20th Century.

Times will never be this slow and sincere again. Humanity is such a fragile beautiful thing, yet it’s the thing we care least about.

I’m 44 and they just don’t make music like this anymore. My daughter can sing all the lyrics. Just beautiful.

My daughter recently turned 18. I heard her play this song one day and I just fell in love with it. She is an old soul with young eyes and a vintage heart, my daughter that is.

This is one of my favorite songs ever...So gentle, smooth, peaceful, loving. Listening to it brings back a lot of memories of being young. Rest in peace, wonderful Paul Davis...you were an angel even when you were here.

No voice enhancement. No over-dubbing. No negativity in the lyrics. Just a nice, harmonized poetry. Good music doesn't need any enhanecement or gimmik, it just flows naturally. P. Davis is constantly being put down for writing so much "pop crap." Bet he laughed all the way to the bank. His tunes are the soundtrack to at least two generations and continue to entertain and inspire.

Life was so different back then. It almost doesn't feel real anymore. The soundtrack of those days is all that keeps the magic alive...

In the 1980's when I lived in Colorado and had a car, I would drive up into the mountains and watch the beautiful sunsets. This song, among many others would be playing on my stereo. Sure wish that I could go back to those days... They were so calming and comforting. 🥰
