I really like this live version. Glad to see Mike switched to full synth bass duty on the chorus. I got to see these guys perform this live at the orange peel in Asheville which was awesome, and I actually got to talk to them afterwards. They asked if I had any thoughts on this song and I told them the only thing it needed more of was that fat synth bass in the chorus (at the time I believe Chris was doing the synth lead and bass, and wasn't able to keep the bass notes going through the whole chorus [despite his impressive piano skills], or at least I couldn't feel them [which could've also been the orange peel sound guys, who have sadly gotten a little too tame over the years in terms of loudness]. In any case, I really love this! Sorry for the long comment, this is just my favorite song!

Every now and then you start watching a Sure Sure video and you forget to put on your headphones. Then the camera pans to the sick bass solo, and you don't hear anything at all. So you rewind the video to the start, put on headphones, and wonder why you forgot that detail in the first place.

I only just now realized that the cause of the deviation in every Sure Sure song was the variety of instruments used. This deviation is definitely one of the main reasons that you guys are my favorite band.

once in a while i stumble across music that i will keep listening to for years... this time it's Sure Sure and it's quite like magic. can't stop listening to them now, it's a shame not that many know of them yet. somehow though they remind me a bit of young the giant, who at the beginning were also just some low-key guys making incredible music. look where they are now. Sure Sure while have their time, i'm pretty sure.

This is going to be our wedding song💕 We fell in love, laying side by side in bed, listening to the early morning (late night for us) “love birds” chirp outside the widow, with a fucking great playlist on created by my future hubby… and this song encompasses that very moment. Every time I listen to it, I fall more In love with him.
