This song is breathtaking. It feels like the isolation that I’m comfortable with…forever looking out the window watching peoples lives go by while I’m content hiding inside.

I've discovered Paloma Paris recently, thanks to "Labour". And "Labour" is amazing song, but this one... This one is absolutely stunning.

The way you did the "..in the exile, in my exile" is incredible. I get chills every time.

Hits differently when you listen to it in your car while it's off, on a rainy night. Listening to the song with the drops of rain hitting the roof and watching it drip down the windshield.

This sounds like a song you should play while on a boat down a gentle river, fingers tracing lines on the water (that is not infested with piranhas) or skating on a wide lake, frozen thick in the winter, past dawn but still early in the morning or your a fairy dancing in the forest with fireflies or just living a normal day in the life in the cottage, surrounded by beautiful nature

"the overwhelming feeling That there's nobody who's looking down At least i’m looking down" What a beautiful line this is

Beautiful song. Made me think of Quasimodo in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and how he must have felt in the bell tower 😊💙

right from the first lyrics, it transports the listener right to the rafters and creates a vivid flowing image the entire time. absolutely beautiful

This song just takes me back to Richmond UK, and exploring Richmond castle and it's keep; just admiring the peacefulness up high and soaking up the view of Richmond. Also DURHAM Cathedral as well...just a flood of memories hit me when I listen to this.

I have added this, labour, and fruits to my playlist called medieval women. The two are for the rage purposes, and this one is for the women held up on a pedestal but never actually seen

Paris Paloma just has a wonderful way of writing, of everything in the end her lyrics are my favorite. While the melodies and singing are wonderful, I just don't stop admiring how she words herself.

i've got goosebumps this is amazing lyrics I’m in the rafters looking down It’s cold up here Between walls of stone I made my home And the air hangs heavy with the incense Feathers fall from pigeons Cooing in the tower I rarely go down there The view’s just so beautiful from here And i can see everybody at their lowest points At their worst points I’m not a sadist I enjoy just being able to be witness Of the loneliness and fear I abhor in case there isn’t one In case there isn’t one I’m not a higher power I just live in the ceiling Cause i’m lonely on the fringes And it gives my life some meaning in the exile In my exile The grey light filters through slabs And the flagstones glow Bright from the stained glass A hundred feet below As i tiptoe creaking over prayers Pleading with their maker Crying with the choir I’m not immune to the sincerity Below me, makes me feel It makes me holy But the tears i understand That i do not below No i do not belong Watching the figures all the saints But mostly sinners come and go Some are desperate But the other have the sense that they do belong And i do not belong Some only talk towards the heavens When the end is feeling desperate Have the overwhelming feeling That there's nobody who's looking down At least i’m looking down

oh to be a wretched little thing looking down upon humanity with so much love...... and to be so so so lonely and unable to join them.......... but still being quietly confident that your presence is meaningful............. ugh
