String bending is a great way to bring your guitar licks to life and improve your improvisation skills.

In this lesson we focus on applying string bends to the minor pentatonic scale, using various "bend points" as approach positions.

By thinking in terms of the target pitch of your bend, you'll create more musical, expressive phrases in your guitar solos. By following the process in this lesson you'll find navigating your way around the neck easier and you'll build your finger strength in the process.

Plus, these exercises are a great way to stretch out new strings so they hold their tuning better!

"it's not so important where you start your bend, rather hitting the target with accuracy and purpose." MAN THIS IS MORE THAN JUST GUITAR ADVICE!! THIS IS LIFE WISDOM! it's like it doesn't matter where you start, but where you're end ur journey with purpose

Great video, very helpful. Quick time for who might not have realized: if you play with a tuner enabled in your DAW or otherwise you can gauge the accuracy of your bends without having to play the target note itself.
