Dark Netflix family trees explained. Family relations and character connections in Dark. Please subscribe! - bit.ly/PetePeppers New questions video here -    • Dark Family Tree Questions | Season 3...

Dark on Netflix centers around four main families in a small German town of Winden. Everything in Winden seems to be connected making the family trees complicated. This video explains all the family connections for the Dark characters. Since time travel happens we see many characters at different points in their lives. The main character Jonas Kahnwald exists as his teenage self, an older version known as the Stranger, and an even older version that goes by Adam.

It can be difficult to know who is related to who in Netflix’s Dark. Season 2 gave us many answers, but also left us with many questions. By looking at how all the characters are connected in Dark we can start to think about how the ending of the series will turn out.

Learn about the Nielsen, Kahnwald, Tiedemann, and Doppler families. See how these families evolved over time and how they all overlap with each other. The Dark family tree is confusing, but this video can help make sense of it all. It can also help to refresh your memory about all the Dark characters before season 3.

Let us know what you think about Dark in the comments, and let us know what questions you have about the family tree.

Most amazing thing about this show is how actors unbelievably look alike. The casting director really amazed me!

If Jonas's mind was blown when he found out who his father was, just think how Charlotte's going to react when she discovers the truth about her mother!

The thing I love most about this show is that the writers don't think we the audience are stupid. They know we can understand and figure stuff out. It's refreshing.

You know, almost every series or movies with young actors or teenagers always make the parents the supporting part. Like stranger things. But Dark emphasizes that parents are also important roles in the narrative. They also have their own motives.

I've been baffled ever since Season 1 how they found these very good actors that really look alike, acting in German television usually isn't anywhere close to American standards.

I was born in 1986,watched series in 2019 and was named after my uncle because he died earlier that year. He was born in 1953. I got the chills while realizing that,i even asked my father when did my uncle died.

Elizabeth's grandmother is herself. Seriously how the idea came into the writer's head. :D

There's a family we don't see much of in the show - the Obendorfs. And yet when you think about it they are quite important to the plot - if Erik Obendorf didn't go missing, the gang would never go to the cave to try to steal his drugs and Mikkel would never have gone back in time to father Jonas. Erik's missing poster is one of the first things we see in season one but then, after Ulrich finds out about Jürgen's drug stash we never really see much of them again. Given the attention given to sleight of hand in the opening episode, with Mikkel's cup trick, I wonder if this is an example of the writer and director showing us a key element of the trick openly then misdirecting us? The alternate world, which we know is a world without Jonas, could be the world which results from Erik being saved. Maybe the reason none of the main characters know how to break the loop isn't for some cosmic existential reason, as Adam implies - maybe it's just that the four families of Winden are too preoccupied with their own personal dramas to see what's right in front of them.

last time i started to watch a show in the evening and stayed up all night to watch it was with breaking bad. Dark is freaking amazing. With most of the Netflix shows I struggle to get past the second or third episode but this one just kept going... no lows, just events after events after events. I seriously can't wait for season 3 😄
