Nasser & Sadat created the modern state of Egypt. Despite its flaws, it's one of the more stable & moderate leaning Arab states in the region.

This was an excellent presentation on Egypt and how their leaders navigated their way over the decades of ever more challenging relations with Israel. This documentary wasn't in itself overly revealing in its exposure of Egypt's rulers and Middle East events as Arab-Israeli issues have long been at the heart of this thoroughly publicized and conflicting geopolitical world for over 75 years now. Nevertheless this production and the narrator's delivery simply tell a tale of a modern nation that has fallen under the dominating influence of a more powerful neighbor. Egypt will continue to exist as it has for thousands of years. It's status of being an epic civilization of antiquity will remain inviolate. There is nothing wrong with a people resting on The Laurels of their ancient forebearers.

Egypt is among the most captivating countries in terms of their politics. I believe it has strong potential to be a true leader in the Middle East and Africa.
