Boy, that Roena is a piece o' work! I grew up in Granite City, but Thank God, I never ran into her. And lemme tell ya, that Checker Cab company has some of the greasiest looking people working there - I mean, we're talking, "Wrong Turn" looking people!! I'm not sure if it's changed now, over the years, but I would hope so, because back then, that place was a shack and had literally, total rejects working there. Roena gives me the impression of someone who'd be nasty nice to your face, but as soon as you turned your back, she'd rob ya blind.

I've known women that were jealous of their own daughter for spending time with her father. I used to drive cab and I had many fares who were older men that called for a cab from the bars. A lot of them had drinking problems and many had physical ailments, too. Most lived alone and were very lonely men, easily taken advantage of.

I get angry when I hear cops, prosecutors, or anyone saying "innocent people don't plead guilty." Well, it's a proven fact that innocent people do this every day in a courtroom here in the US. It's not some big mystery. All it takes is someone who's very poor or very ignorant of how the system works; who gets told by their own court-appointed attorney that if they don't take the plea deal offered, they will end up getting punished much worse. So, they do what they think is best and take the deal.
I am not saying that the women here are innocent. I am simply saying that innocent people do take plea deals and that innocent people are found guilty. It happens more often than we think.
