Ofra Haza was a vocal and linguistic goddess (she sang most of the different language versions of this song, holy wow) and I've looked up to her singing prowess since I saw The Prince of Egypt in theaters, back in 1998. Honestly, this is one of the few songs that have actually made me tear up. For a song to do that, it takes not only one extreme singer but a truly worthy story to be told. Not only does this song cover it, but Mrs. Serena, you have complimented this song as beautifully as anyone I've ever had the chance to hear. Kinda like the female version of Peter Hollens. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to have a mother that would sing like this to me as a child. Your kid is very blessed. Definitely feel the love in this song. The Hebrew felt incredibly touching!
