Give AI a test: can it solve the trump problem, and cure the magats?

I will not submit to the calculations of an a.i. owned and trained by a corporation controlled by shareholders with no skin in the game.

I can't imagine anything that would terrify / alienate people more than the prospect of AI redesigning the government.

It’s not just drudgery, but precarious labor. The rise of part time, gig economy needs to be addressed. Neither political party is helping this.

I'd argue that SNAP rules shouldn't be so complex that an AI is needed. IMHO there's a lot of needless, ineffectual complexity in some of the systems that animate our society

Worker productivity has risen while worker share has diminished. Why would we think anything would be different this time around?

There are only so many Walter Isaacson's to go around... AI can never create enough Walter Isaacson's.

Replace scrotus with AI. If their job is to determine whether or not something is constitutional AI would do a better job without the politics

AI would never write the Declaration, the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights. Rights ? What are they good for ?

"We are defending a status quo that is not worth defending" Can surely agree with this statement! Why are we so hysterically fearful of change/growth?

Oh yeah,... that's a great idea. Tech has been so up inside their back sides for the last several decades. Having worked in a lot of areas of tech and the entertainment biz, nobody is more full of themselves with their own ideas than rick tech bros. However, a lot about government does need to be revamped and made simpler.

Hold up here. You are proposing to put 300,000+ living people out of work and cite that Democrats would not like that because of "obvious reasons". Well, if the obvious reason is that you want to lay off the work force of the nation's largest employer: YES, THAT WOULD BE A BAD IDEA. This guy is high on his own supply.

Unfortunately, our perception of AI has been formed by science fiction movies and not reality

How about rephrasing this proposal to recommend that the government procure off-the-shelf software to assist in the efficient delivery of government goods and services? Software would make a series of recommendations based on enormous quantities of data within the parameters which it was designed, namely to maximally benefit the security, prosperity and well-being of the American people. Humans would still make the decisions, similar to the way businesses use software to assist their decisions today. Medical advances are being made right now using just the same type of software. Would you refuse treatment for your disease if the cure was discovered by software? Even if it was designed by medical researchers for the purpose of curing disease?

AI takes the existing online knowledge base then gives you an (answer). As if everything on the internet were true.

AI could be in charge of redistricting in states for fair voting districts.
