Fun fact: For some reason, horses are afraid of both camels and elephants. This tactic was historically used in battles and was very effective on blunting cavalry charges. ;) Nice little detail AOE team added in the game.

When you're talking about the camel rider vs lancer attack speed, you had to keep in mind that the attack speed and damage values displayed for lancers are for the charge attack only, once they start actually auto attacking in melee they have their sword which has different (the "real") stats.
