Several decades ago my dear grandmother had the most beautiful and organized garden. Each row began with a seed packet, made of paper, wrapped in the Saran Wrap of that era, to keep rain and critters away. She lived through the Depression and the only way they ate was to grow their food. She introduced me to crowder peas, pan fried cornbread, and fried chicken wings before they were a thing. Her corn stalks reached 7-8 feet and grew so much corn that we harvested and shucked for much of each summer. I miss her, her name was Elsie, and she gardened into her 90ās. She worked hard her entire life and raised my mom and four boys, along with my help from my grandfather, to love the Lord and worship him faithfully! (The first chicken I ever had was named Elsie! I know she was smiling down on her namesake!) š

A suggestion would be to draw a easy map of the gardens so you know where each veggie or fruit is.or have one of your very artistic children to do it. Theyād have fun with that.

Make sure you water water water those carrots! Such exciting times to see your dream come to vision! Also, my gardening husband does a Berm around the tomatoes. It helps when watering

Hey, if you didnt know about the strawberries.. if you want them to grow to be the size you're used to buying in store, you will absolutely have to pluck off some berries from each plant. We learned this lesson as our first time growing strawberries this year and they were super tiny because there were so many growing! The plant was focused on growing so many that it wasn't worried about size.

Jamerrill, your video is a good source of information. I going through a sad time right now as a kitten I raised from a tiny that is now a grown adult male cat who is a sweet boy cat, has caught a bad eye infection and now it has caused other problems so weāre going to lose him. So your video makes me get away from things for a little while so thank you. Plus Iām learning things to help me learn to do a nice gardening. I have not done any gardening scene I was young.

Carrot seed should be very lightly covered in soil and kept very wet until you see the sprouts in about 14 days. Garden looks fabulous.

If you purchase remesh (the stuff for the base form for concrete) it is a LOT cheaper. Half or more the cost of a hog panel or cattle panel. They do rust, but rust isn't a problem.
