I got my Nexplanon implant about 3 months ago. It really is a good method of birth control. Especially since I know I am a very forgetful person, I knew I wouldn’t trust myself with birth control pills lol.

I've just replaced mine a week ago. Apart from gaining weight during my first time (not entirely because of the implant but also because I used to eat like a horse), this really worked well for me. I enjoyed having no period for months and months. And me and my partner enjoyed sex a lot more because we know it's safe.
I've also encouraged my best friend and my sister to get this. And then my sister encouraged her girl friends too. So far they're all happy about it. The implant is proven effective.
The side effects are different for every woman. We're just lucky it turned out okay for us. Good luck to everyone planning to get this! 😘😘😘

I’m 17, child minded but getting this mainly because my periods have been so painful I’ve almost fainted a few times....irregular cycles, cramps even AFTER my period has ended...the pill has not worked for me, made me feel very sick....this will hopefully be better for me, my doctor recommended it to me

The doctor was so nice and kind. After I had mine. I got this 2 minute adrenaline rush. It hurt a little but it was fine. 2 days so far and I still have a little pain on touching the area.

Update : been 4 weeks and it’s fine just bruising after the first day or two and numb but now it’s barely noticeable still queezy when touching it coz it freaks me out, be careful of your moods and late monthly cycles but I do recommend it xx

I've just had my second implant rod. I love it, although periods were heavy for 6 months with my first implant rod, non stop periods, but after that it was spotting, then nothing at all. Fingers crossed this second implant rod hasn't giving me heavy periods yet, just a bit of spotting.
