William has this to say about the song - “Lovely” is written about, and in respectful honor, of Sister Catherine Cesnik, a beautiful young nun who lost her life trying to protect her students who were being abused by members of their community. She was memorialized in the brilliant documentary “The Keepers.” It’s written from the perspective of one of the young women whom Ms. Cesnik sacrificed herself for.
