Out of all the covers I've listened to this one is by far the best imo. Reason being is she isn't trying to be something or someone she isn't. She's singing the music from the heart with dynamics and good breath control. Also, there isn't a bunch of added stylistic mess that's in everything today. She added her own little bits, but it's not everywhere. Her switching from chest and head voice is seamless and beautiful. I can actually hear her tonal quality and her essence. I miss covers and music like this. For once I didn't cringe and turn it off immediately and go take Tylenol. She was a bit flat and sharp in some places, but again there's no programming to correct this, autotune, none of that. I'm hearing her. Love it.

Thought I found a way Thought I found a way, yeah (found) But you never go away (never go away) So I guess I gotta stay now Oh, I hope some day I'll make it out of here Even if it takes all night or a hundred years Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near Wanna feel alive, outside I can fight my fear Isn't it lovely, all alone Heart made of glass, my mind of stone Tear me to pieces, skin and bone Hello, welcome home Walkin' out of town Lookin' for a better place (lookin' for a better place) Something's on my mind (mind) Always in my headspace But I know some day I'll make it out of here Even if it takes all night or a hundred years Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near Wanna feel alive, outside I can fight my fear Isn't it lovely, all alone Heart made of glass, my mind of stone Tear me to pieces, skin and bone Hello, welcome home Woah, yeah Yeah, ah Woah, woah Hello, welcome home
