As a Todd Edwards superfan, I am personally beyond hyped for this. I believe that any fan of Daft Punk should absolutely listen to Todd’s music, especially if you consider “Face to Face” to be one of your all-time favorite Daft Punk songs. Not only has he collaborated with Daft Punk twice, but you can clearly tell how much his sampling technique has inspired both Thomas and Guy-Man to come up with certain tracks for the Daft Punk project, such as “High Fidelity”. Can’t wait to see what Todd has in store for us, in this episode of Memory Tapes. ❤️

0:36 The idea that Daft Punk being there with Todd Edwards for special moments in his life was a divine gift from God meant to help Todd out is really sweet ❤

Oh wow, I never knew he was in a bad place in the late 2000s. I thought it was in the 90s before he blew up in the UK. Crazy to think he had to take up a normal job after all his success over here.
So happy everything worked out for him though in both his career and personal life. He deserves it all and more!

5:56 me too, Todd. I'm 25 now, so I was 9-10 years old during Alive 2007. I've recently started going to festivals and am blown away with live performances. I'd give anything to see Daft Punk live.

I hate (but really love) how these memory tapes bring back this FULL wave of nostalgia and longing for more. Daft Punk has been with me from middle school on to working my awesome full time job 8 years after college. And every time i turn on ANY tunes, all the memories through high school, college, and now flood in and smacks me in my feels. Especially these memory tapes episodes that provide context for how awesome the duo really was, how inspiring they were to other great artists, and how such a good album came about piece by piece.
Its genius they are doing this. Was it planned from the beginning? Was it planned when they officially split? Or did they take a trip down nostalgia lane themselves and wanted to give a glimpse to the fans of memories they will cherish forever? Either way, its gold, and we all appreciate it
