This is going to sound so random and a bit odd but I LOVE the respect that Emily and Bonny show each other. Just to add another layer to the solitaire line: Iâve always related that line back to mastermind as well, which has the game imagery (dominoes) in it. So if sheâs the mastermind, drawing up the plans (to make them love her and make it seem effortless) but her tricks fail in some capacity (the relationship with Joe not actually going to *plan*), she has lost at her own game: a game maybe no one even knew she was playing.
