These aren’t real fans like wtf he’s a human being like he says he doesn’t like the word famous because it takes away The substance from the person. And these people were doing exactly that like he is just a person like everyone else. The DOESNT OWN ANYONE SHIT. If they know Harry he would alway interact with his fans so if he didn’t then he really had to do something, not in the mood and didn’t want to like give that energy off or even it probably wasn’t his choice. When I saw that video I was so shocked I find it disgusting these aren’t fans at all and they don’t deserve that title periodt.

Harry is the most respectful human ever. He needed to be somewhere and he always trys to say hi to his fans. He was in a rush and these “Fans“ can’t except that is horrible. They need to learn respect. Harry couldn’t say hi one time so you say horrific things towards him. Like really you don’t do that. :)

The key is to not have an 'idol.' Fame is not real nor is celebrity. We don't know these people who are famous. If we appreciate an artist's work, we should just appreciate the art. We don't have an actual relationship with these artists, only their art. Artists are humans too. Although we humans are the ones who allow artists to live the lavish lifestyles they live because we purchase their music or pay to see them perform. It's all a transaction though - a transaction to hear the music or see the show. People are people. We are not entitled to anything from artists outside of the 'transactions.' There is no 'if,' 'and,' or 'but' about it. Celebrity and fame is not something to aspire to or elevate; the quality of the art is the only thing that matters. Ultimately, we the people give celebrities their fame, and we should probably just chill with that in general. America is obsessed with fame for fame's sake. It's extreme and unproductive. I think there is another side of the coin, so to speak, in that some artists try to cultivate fame for fame's sake and take advantage of their 'fame' and 'celebrity' status beyond people admiring their art because they are greedy and want to make more money. I don't believe HS falls into that category though. He seems to understand that fame and celebrity are not real. He does realize how lucky and fortunate he is and seems to appreciate the fact that the capricious nature of fame and celebrity means that it could be taken away at any moment. The only thing that matters is the art. I do think we should monetarily value art, but the money artists make from merchandise and endorsement deals is a bit ridiculous. It's capitalism gone awry. While we live in a capitalistic society, my point is that NO ONE deserves to make as much money as artists like HS make. He's not the only one, of course. He deserves to make a lot of money because of his talent and hard work, but lots of artists and non-artists are talented and work hard. The point is that no one actually deserves that kind of money (net worth 75 million dollars) regardless of what they do for a living. What I respect about HS is that he recognizes that - he has said many times that there is luck involved in his success (in addition to talent and hard work). What is actually unethical, in my opinion, is people who are famous for being famous and literally have no artistic or other talent that would garner them acclaim like the Kardashian Jenners who make millions of dollars per year while a high school teacher does not make even $100,000 per year. The public is literally responsible for the wealth of people like the Kardashians. If people didn't value fame for fame's sake, the Kardashians would not be famous or nearly as wealthy. Personally, I prefer anonymity. Fame is an ugly, fake beast. It's the unfortunate aspect that sometimes happens when one is really talented and hard-working, not something that should be aspired to for it's own value.

I've seen various musical waves come and go and though there are many lovely fans (yourself included) I'm sorry to say but never has a generation of music lovers been so entitled, rude and bitchy as this one imo. It has far, far more in terms of a wealth of interaction, merch and gifts than past generations (or fans of other genres) who were/are lucky to even get a quarterly fanclub newsletter in the post, regarding their favs, or a free sticker. I'm shocked daily by what I see out there in terms of behaviour. Where are these peoples parents and why does this stuff not get back to them? If that were my child they'd not leave the house for a month and would be writing the artist a letter of apology c/o his management. Supposing that liquid was acid? Damn right he's not going to get out of his car and come and share shit with them. I am though going to give the girl who shouted out the benefit of the doubt as she might have been shouting at the liquid thrower.
