For my wife who works in NYC, leaving the long island railroad, then to the subway, then to hit the road for about another mile on the street, nothing beats lightweight. E-TWOW GT SE Smart Edition is a no brainer for her at about the same specs and price, 700W motor, 26mph max speed, long platform, 504Wh which is more than enough, easy fold and carry all at about 26lbs. An extra 15lbs up subway stairs would be too much for her. Thanks for your great reviews!

Great video! At 3:38 the image shows top speed of 35 mph. Surely that can't be right. Although at another point you did mention a 27mph top speed. I went to test drive one today based on this video and I couldn't hit 35mph top speed. I'm 198lbs and I was hitting closer to 23mph.

I have the old model of this scooter and it has been very reliable. I had to replace the controller at one point, but that was under warranty and even if I had to buy one, the parts are cheap. The biggest problem with this scooter is no front brake. ESG shows how fast scooters stop from 15mph, but they go quite a bit faster than that. I'd love to see a video of an emergency stop from 27 mph on this scooter. It would be a long distance. Even with my 20 ish mph top speed, a front brake would make this scooter much safer.
