11:48 I think we all need to send Matthew Jude pictures of the inside of our fridge. Itâll be like he came to everyoneâs game night and left before we saw him!

Another great Q&A video where Matthew is wrong on almost every topic. It's like his super power...đ (and because text looses all context, just to clarify, I am 100% joking. I actually agree with most of his thoughts. Factory inserts are trash, Can't Stop is a roll'n'move, smaller boxes are always better, art absolutely matters, though won't save a bad game, and first player conditions are fun, but I'm fine ignoring them too). Burgle Bros had the best insert, by the way. It has none. The box exactly fits everything, with barely space for a breath of air left over.

Any game with enough baggies to put those components in is the exact right answer đ đ đ
Also the Petrichor (collectorâs edition) is very good. Itâs a Game Trayz but that doesnât mean that company always has solid inserts for other games. For Petrichor it has water drop shaped player component trays, and the tray which holds the tiles have the bottom middle raised/corners empty so you can push down on the tiles and another corner pops up, as opposed to digging at an edge.

5:11 Res Arcana. Made with the first 2 expansions in mind. Detachable tray for tokens with a lid. No baggies needed.

Does Art matter? - would you play a completely white game with just card text or resources shaped as needed? If Everdell had a stack of all white cards, with nothing in them but âcommon buildingâ and a grey silhouette of a stone, berry, and twig, that in no way is as fun. But I also agree great art canât save a bad game.

1. Favorite Box Size - Allplayâs little cubes
2. Inserts - I use them until I need a different storage method. Then I either switch to baggy only or I buy an expensive insert kit if itâs a game I play often. Having an easier time setting up or tearing down matters more than being able to rotate the game sometimes.
3. Favorite Insert - Between Two Castles with tile stacks presized for drafting and even more importantly⌠lids
4. Art - art completes the experience whether itâs minimal or elaborate, so yes.
5. Player count - 2 for euros or campaigns, 3-4 for heavy interaction games like root, and 1 for high-conflict games.
6. Least favorite mechanism - lying or arguing as a game mechanism does not play well with my social anxiety
7. Hosting Games - I prefer to host. Sometimes the setup, teach, and travel overwhelms me and by hosting I can remove one element and do the other one early. Your example of leaving on-demand though is the one thing I do like about going out but I sometimes feel trapped in social environments anyway.
8. First Player Dumb or Fun - Why canât it be both? Easy to ignore if youâre not feeling whimsical anyway.

Unmatched has amazing boardgame inserts. They take up a lot of space, but they hold everything in that box perfectly
