Sanne, your comment about stress just hit the spot today ❤. I was just informed two weeks ago that my immune system is suppressed. Long story short: last April I went through stress with changing jobs, dad's diagnosis, work evaluation, rennovations. In July the culminating stress led to shingles (I'm 36). Then I got sick in November with what is now believed was a virus (not Covid-19). As the virus was winding down, I was getting dizzy and would break out in hives at night. Three months later, dizziness is gone but I break out in hives 10-14 nights of the month still. An Allergist and specialist, naturopaths and integrative practioners pointed to a suppressed immune system. When stress hits, my body reacts by attacking itself (autoimmune). The only things that can repair/ "boost" an immune system are the basics: sleep, hydration, diet, stress management (yoga, meditation, walks), and exercise. It does t cost much, and everyone can mostly access the above - it's all the basics. Throughout my life I always down-played stress. I'm happy you are talking about your challenges with this Sanne, and admire the term you used, "unconscious stress". Many people are unaware of the little things that are on play in the background. BIG HUGS to anyone feeling wired, tired, fatigued, and zapped. I hope no one experiences my health challenges and that you manage your stressors efficiently and timely to avoid autoimmune reactions. Thank you Sanne for reminding us about the importance of self care and wellness. ❤❤❤
