CONTEXT:
North End Entertainment is a music organization that I'm friendly with and they host a bimonthly jam session that's free to the public, inviting musicians from all around New England (and beyond) to get up on stage and play alongside the talented house band of Chase Ceglie on saxophone, Chris Vaillancourt on guitar, Brendan Keogh on bass, and Tim Lee on drums. For this particular song and performance that you're seeing, the guest musician joining the jam replaced Tim on drums and the guys improvised on the theme of "2001: A Space Odyssey". Everything is done on the fly, with local musicians signing up on a piece of paper night-of, getting called on stage, and the band figures the rest out from there. It's a ton of fun, with a positive and encouraging vibe, ranging from students to amateur musicians, to pros that have been doing this all their lives.
