please tell me I'm not the only one who imagine a girl singing this in a abandoned apartment, dancing alone with a her girlfriend's soul while the memories appear in the back and her tears are whipped by the phantom and ended with a pretty kiss and the ghost disappear and the girl fall on her knees crying (woah, i make a whole story)

Whenever I hear this song I can only think of two of my characters that are Victorian lesbians who are star-crossed lovers because their families disapprove but one is of wealth and the other of poverty. When they are torn apart for decades the wealthier one gets a letter saying her lover is dead and she is invited to the funeral. She is heartbroken until she finds the ghost of her love illuminated by the moonlight in her window.
Then she gets the rings she's had in her drawer for years out and purposes to the phantom she loves. This is their song.

Pov: you slowly start playing the ivory keys of the organ, while your loved one is dancing to the sound of your voice and the tune of the old piano that has collected dust from the long time it was left unused. Your voice starts to lower as eventually, the song must come to an end and the illusion of her dancing around the room disappears once more. The last time you played the piano was during her funeral, it's been a while...

P.O.V: It's the 40's and you're singing about one of the female soldiers fighting the war beside you, but you know she's straight so you keep it a secret so you can still fight in the army rather than getting kicked out. One day you hear talking about the LGBT+, quote 'She'll probably kick my fucking ass'. Once the war is over you sing this song in your garage while she is outside listening, searching the garbage for remaining.
Dunno- this came to my mind that it'd take place during ww2 because of the background noise sounding like bombs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
