We bought a Tundra SR5 double cab with a 6ā bed, 4WD in 2010. I paid only $22K in 2010. Today the same truck is more than double the price.
My income hasnāt more than doubled in 14 years, but Toyota (and every other automaker thinks it has). This is why people can no longer afford the OVERPRICED vehicles.

These prices are out of control. I used to work for Chevy in 2018. You used to be able to get a regular cab, 8 foot bed V8 4x4 Silverado 1500 for about 25k. That same truck today would be 50k.

Please stop saying "Not too bad." You guys are better than that. There is nothing good about the pricing of these pickups. $40k -$55k trucks are not affordable to the majority of people. And $60k-$80k is ridiculous.

Great video! Loved the focus on more āaffordableā trucks. I am buying at the end of 2024. I am leaning midsize with a max budget of $45,000 plus/minus $2,500. Given that we tow a small 2,900 lb camper and haul camping gear, we will cross shop base trim 1/2 ton 4WD trucks as well.
