âyou used a fork onceâŠit turns out forks are fucking everywhere.â
i like this lyric because it appears to be straightforward but have a lot more depth when you read into it carefully. Everyone uses forks, thus it is obvious that they will be found everywhereâŠhowever, the fork in a way illustrates an example of how everything now carries a memory of the person you once loved. Everything you see, even the tiniest of things, serve as a constant reminder of them, making it impossible to avoid thinking about them. A memory of that person is attached to almost anything you seeâŠhearâŠthink ofâŠit can be torture.

Lyrics
[Verse 1]
You used a fork once
It turns out forks are fucking everywhere
There's no hiding from the thought of us
I got ways to find you anywhere
We sat on the roof once
Conversation took us everywhere
And we talked until the sun came up
I wish we stayed just like we were up there
[Pre-Chorus]
I consider you, Iâm not trying to
It doesn't matter whether or not I want to
I can't help it, itâs a habit
Your corner in my mind is well established
[Chorus]
Ah, I, I wonder how many things you think about
Before you get to me
I wonder how many things you wanna do
You think I'm in between
I feel myself falling further down your priorities
And I still make excuses for you constantly
I wonder how many things you think about
Before, before you get to me
[Verse 2]
Remember when you left once?
That never made too much sense to me
Well, it hurt you so bad hurting me
You really came to me for sympathy
[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, I consider you, and I'm not trying to
It doesn't matter whether or not I want to
I can't help it, it's a habit
Your corner in my mind is well established
[Chorus]
I, I wonder how many things you think about
Before you get to me
I wonder how many things you wanna do
You think I'm in between
I feel myself falling further down your priorities
And I still make excuses for you constantly
I wonder how many things you think about
Before, before you get to me
[Bridge]
(Mhm)
Am I not even a second thought?
[Chorus]
I wonder how many things you think about
Before you get to me
I wonder how many things you wanna do
You think I'm in between
I feel myself falling further down your priorities
And I still make excuses for you constantly
I wonder how many things you think about
Before, before you get to me
[Outro]
Wonder how many things

THIS, THIS IS THE BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM. The lyrics are genius, no wonder this is her favorite line: "You used a fork once, it turns out forks are fucking everywhere". It's so clever using something so common like fork to express how everything makes you remember that person. The vocals are out of this world, she belts, do falsetto, vocal agility... Everything flawlessly. But overall, that best thing in this song is how she express emotion and really makes you feel every single lyric, that's what songs should do to you.

For me this song makes me think of those friends/family we have. The ones who call you at 3 am to vent about their problems but never ask about your day; the ones you celebrate their victories for like their your own but they belittle anything youâre proud of; the ones you will run to if they need help but youâll never be their first option for anything good.
âMaking excuses for them constantlyâ because you hold onto a handful of good moments and because you donât want to admit the person youâve cared so much for doesnât actually give a shit about you.
This album is gold where the lyrics hold different meaning for different people. Severely underrated.

âi wonder how many things you think about before you get me.â this parts hitsâŠespecially when everything YOU think about has the person laced through them all so delicately.
