I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, The 1992 Royal Rumble is a masterpiece. The atmosphere of the crowd, the high stakes of the match, the huge names involved, the storytelling, the finish, Gorilla and Heenan at their best on commentary, all the stars aligned perfectly that night to make this one of the greatest events ever.

This has to be the single greatest performance by a heel commentator ever. Bobby Heenan was incredible, and going on from that, he was amazing for the entire year of 1992. Royal Rumble with Flair, Wrestlemania with Flair vs. Savage and selling Sid as a legit threat to Hogan, Summerslam with the "will Flair and Perfect side with Savage or the Warrior" storyline, and his incredible performance at Survivor Series where he is hilarious during the Boss Man vs. Nailz match, and then becomes completely unhinged for the Flair & Razor vs. Perfect & Savage match. Truly the best heel commentator ever, and probably my favorite performer ever in the history of the business.

My favorite part was when Bossman got eliminated, leaving Flair alone in the ring and Bobby was like "Flair wins it!" when there is still half a Rumble to go.
Bobby was a treasure!
Also, amazing how Jake kept looking up the entry way waiting for Macho and then slithered out of the ring the second Macho came out. Classic!

54:18 Heenan: "Just let Flair win it! I'll be a better person, I promise you!"
LMAO!
