you shouldn’t be worrying about trends. Just stick with the ones you like and the ones that fit into your style. Some trends are going to fit and some aren’t. Fashion trends arent supposed to be appealing to everyone :)

i personally think that we should wear whatever we want even if it’s something super trendy. though it is good to keep in mind that whether we’re buying it bc we genuinely like it or bc it’s the hottest thing rn and all our favs are rocking it

I agree with some points but also I do think that most “trends” come from the past, like right now people are trying to get the 90s and 2000s look and that’s why these pieces are coming out. Buying basics are good as well but finding cute pieces like some of these are fine too.

What about choosing your own style not based on what is trendy but what you personally like or not ? If next year abstract designs for example are not trendy but you still like them it doesn't mean you can't wear them lol.

I think florals, plaid, stripes, polka dots and other classic patterns will forever cycle in fashion. I will have a couple of these. But honestly, I prefer solid colors.

I like your points that sustainability is more important Nil. However, I feel like people should be able to wear trends they enjoy and that trends that are "out of style" can still be enjoyable and fun for a person to wear if they genuinely love that piece. We should focus more on how long we see ourselves wearing the piece, not how long it will take for it to go out of style.

I was literally just thinking about this the other day. I was trying to shop for clothes but got so overwhelmed because I knew that in a month I will get over those items and hate wearing them. That’s why I’m trying to stop shopping fast fashion when it comes to statement clothing.
