This farce is a slap in the face for every serious mental health professional and every real sufferer.

Her fears / PTSD is completely justified and totally understandable. Her entire life changed after the accident.

I’m a little confused as to why they implied that her partner has PTSD without asking about her symptoms. Not everyone who experiences a traumatic event develops PTSD—it’s not about how bad what happened was, it’s how your brain copes with it and the specific pattern of symptoms that do or don’t develop. It’s certainly possible for someone to develop PTSD from watching their partner go through something like that and having to act as their carer, but her feelings of being very upset and distressed by it don’t necessarily indicate that she has. I understand that they were trying to validate her feelings which is important, but they probably should’ve just suggested that she be evaluated for it.

My son was in a pretty bad wreck. He's very lucky to be alive. Still anxiety going for drives so we go every morning to the gym. The exercise is helping him with emotional issues as well as physical. I wouldn't tolerate screaming or grabbing the wheel.
