I would recommend everyone read Erin Forbes' Fire & Ice book series. I met Miss Forbes five months after the publication of The Elementals. An author signing at a café called The Ugly Mug during a First Friday event. There for a ribbon cutting. Decided to support a local author. Read Volume 1 and have been a fan since. It's a young adult novel anyone can enjoy.

The first step is the hardest. I say four years, from 12 to 16 is a good time. Some people begin with an idea in their heads when they were 10 and procrastinate while going through the other "more important" things in life like school, college, life... then the next thing you know, you're in your 30s and you're still in the worldbuilding stage. You may not know it, Mel. But keep posting these videos. You young writers churning out book after book despite the distractions of the world is flaring up embers in old men's and women's hearts who thought they have lost their childhood dreams of becoming a published fiction author.
