Hi, welcome to Speak Japanese Naturally!
I'm Fumi.

I'm walking around Yoyogi Park in Shibuya in Tokyo on November 26th.
The autumn leaves are still beautiful.

They say you can get the widest view of the sky in Tokyo in Yoyogi Park.
And the phrase "the widest view of the sky in Tokyo" reminded me of a poem,
ใ‚ใฉใ‘ใชใ„็ฉบใฎ่ฉฑ An innocent story of the sky written by Kotaro Takamura(1883-1956)

Here's the whole poem

ใ‚ใฉใ‘ใชใ„่ฉฑ
Innocent story

ๆ™บๆตๅญใฏๆฑไบฌใซ็ฉบใŒใชใ„ใจใ„ใต
Chieko says thereโ€™s no sky in Tokyo

ใปใ‚“ใจใฎ็ฉบใŒ่ฆ‹ใŸใ„ใจใ„ใตใ€‚
She says she wants to see the real sky

็งใฏ้ฉšใ„ใฆ็ฉบใ‚’่ฆ‹ใ‚‹ใ€‚
Which made me look up at the sky in surprise

ๆกœ่‹ฅ่‘‰ใฎ้–“ใซๅœจใ‚‹ใฎใฏใ€
What I can see between young sakura leaves is

ๅˆ‡ใคใฆใ‚‚ๅˆ‡ใ‚Œใชใ„ใ€€ใ‚€ใ‹ใ—ใชใ˜ใฟใฎใใ‚Œใ„ใช็ฉบใ ใ€‚
The beautiful sky that I have been familiar with for a long time

ใฉใ‚“ใ‚ˆใ‚Šใ‘ใ‚€ใ‚‹ๅœฐๅนณใฎใผใ‹ใ—ใฏ
The foggy horizon is unclear with

ใ†ใ™ใ‚‚ใ‚‚่‰ฒใฎๆœใฎใ—ใ‚ใ‚Šใ ใ€‚
Pale pink moist morning

ๆ™บๆตๅญใฏ้ ใใ‚’่ฆ‹ใชใŒใ‚‰่จ€ใตใ€‚
Chieko looks far away and says

้˜ฟๅคšๅคš็พ…ๅฑฑ(ใ‚ใŸใŸใ‚‰ใ‚„ใพ)ใฎๅฑฑใฎไธŠใซ
Above the Atatara mountain

ๆฏŽๆ—ฅๅ‡บใฆใ‚ใ‚‹้’ใ„็ฉบใŒ
The blue sky you see every day is

ๆ™บๆตๅญใฎใปใ‚“ใจใฎ็ฉบใ ใจใ„ใตใ€‚
Her real sky, she says

ใ‚ใฉใ‘ใชใ„็ฉบใฎ่ฉฑใงใ‚ใ‚‹
It is an innocent story of the sky

้ซ˜ๆ‘ๅ…‰ๅคช้ƒŽ 1928ๅนด
Kotaro Takamura, 1928
โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”
ใ€Œ่จ€ใ†ใ€๏ผใ€Œ่จ€ใ†ใ€
ใ€Œใ‚ใ‚‹ใ€๏ผใ€Œใ„ใ‚‹ใ€
These parts are written in an old Japanese style

I hope you'll enjoy this video.
Thank you for visiting.

ใตใฟๅ…ˆ็”Ÿ๏ผThese are my favorite videos of yours. I've missed our lessons, but plan on working my schedule out in the new year to start again. Also: I already knew of Yoyogi Park as it is in one of my favorite video games Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne!

I feel like this is the content we prefer to learn with. just talk & chill about real things. it's overloaded with long talks about how to use grammar & blabla otherwise, but having just this is way better once you are a bit beyond "N5" context + subtitles = brilliant

Thank you for including the poem! I think reading poetry in the original is the ultimate reward of learning a new language so I was very happy to hear a native speaker reading and explaining a Japanese poem to me. A magical point in this video for me. I'll study harder.

Yours is a clever way to teach and, for non-native speakers, to learn Japanese. Thank you very much.

I really appreciate your channel. I'm a new subscriber. I'm learning Japanese but I have no time to sit down and study, so listening to your videos while having lunch at work or getting ready in the morning really help me!

ใตใฟๅ…ˆ็”Ÿ, I am a big fan of every video you create, but these walking videos are my favorite, ^_^ Such a nice, peaceful park to stroll through, especially with your calm, soothing narration. I really appreciate the work you put into these productions and I learn a lot from them. Already looking forward to the next one! ใ‚ใ‚ŠใŒใจใ†ใ”ใ–ใ„ใพใ™ใ€‚ ๆฌกใฎใƒฌใƒƒใ‚นใƒณใŒๆฅฝใ—ใฟใซใ—ใฆใ„ใพใ™!

This was exactly what I was looking for! A nice stroll with focus on the language and everyday things. You speak with such a lovely, calm and articulate voice. And the talking speed was good and varied, so I get to practice listening even at the harder faster bits. Also loved that you put in some kanji facts! I already kind of knew the kanji for bird but it's been giving me a hard time. I wasn't aware of why it looked like that and now I'll never forget it, nor the kanji for crow (which was completely new to me). I'm looking forward to immerse myself more with your videos! ใปใ‚“ใจใซใ‚ใ‚ŠใŒใจใ†ใ”ใ–ใ„ใพใ™๏ผ
