I'm so glad my tattoo artist had me check 3 times before he started to tattoo, it was perfect, but just in case ya know. Before he even started he said, "I'm tattooing what you gave me, if it's messed up that's on you, not me. I'm a tattoo artist, not an English major." Fair enough.

That girl who “double booked herself”, if someone cancels, they can’t just email you back saying they can come. You did not owe her or anyone a free hour, which is probably like $150+ loss.... the chick who cancelled should’ve rescheduled not assume her spot wasn’t taken.

How can you not notice your own child's name is misspelled? That sticks out like a sore thumb to me. It's like not noticing your own name being misspelled.

He’s talking about turtledove. Dude drew a turtle on someone who asked for a turtledove.

I have two script tattoos. All the artists reviewed the spelling and they made me confirm it three times. Along with a written form to sign that stated that I agreed that the script was correct. They came out perfect. Lol

When my husband was 20 he got this big Celtic cross that was meant to look all beaten up and broken, with cracks and ridges running throughout. He noticed a few years later when a buddy pointed it out that some of the cracks came together to form a swastika. Needless to say, he had some new cracks inked in to cover that mess up.

If the person reviews a script tattoo and they okay it and it’s something like a date or a certain spelling of a name that isn’t common knowledge it’s on them. Like that artist said “idk when your grandmother died I went by what you gave me”

I'm from Montreal and honestly I can sympathize with the guy on the "only God know why" thing. Francophones frequently don't pronounce the "s" at the end of words because it's usually silent in French so it's not surprising that he missed that there was supposed to be one.

I feel like the spelling thing (and dates) is on both the client and the artist. Yes, the artist needs to check, check, check their spelling and be 100% sure of the spelling. But I have never gotten a tattoo where I didn't get to see the stencil before hand. At that point it's up to the client to triple check to make sure it's what they want and speak up if you notice something's wrong.

A lot of these sound like the clients fault.
