It's neither. It has the same starat, then plays the final chord of the 2nd one, then the final chord of the 1st one, then there's a turnaround and it restarts

Isn’t it both? It starts with the first one then the second time it plays the second

The first one. The second one is mildly disconcerting.

Isn't it both? It's the high note from the second one, but MUCH quieter.

It’s both. The note in the second one is in a lower octave (and is in a major third harmony) I believe.

It’s both the F and the A at the same time so whichever one your brain highlights/expects is the one you hear

It’s absolutely a blend of both. In some cases, when listening to the original audio. It sounds like the second plays first, then the first one plays on the repeat. But closely listening I can hear the half-step of the second one in each phrase, but the dominant note is the lower one.

I hear this literally every single day. It’s my alarm AND my ring tone. I am a musician. It is number 2, unless the ringtone is some sort of auditorial illusion.

Are you for real!? It’s the first one, no doubt

Its the second one, the last chord is supposed to be a triad but the first way you played it doesnt end on one, but the reason why the second one sounds wrong is because on the last chord, the A that you play with the right hand is too loud. Also it would probably be better if you doubled on the F for that last chord.

I don't have an iPhone, but from what I recall from hearing that of those around me who do, neither of these sound quite correct. The best way I can describe it is that the final note sounds more blended than either example you played. That or it alternates between the two. I'm not the only one who says it's a combination it seems.
