HOW CAN DEMONS OPPRESS CHRISTIANS WHO HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT?

So many Christians have been told lies that when they get the Holy Spirit that all demons have to leave them. They are told demonic spirits and the Holy Spirit can’t coexist in the same person.

In reality most people still behave in ungodly and sinful ways after they “ask Jesus into their hearts” and receive the Holy Spirit and even pray in tongues. It’s because they still need deliverance from their demons that attached to their soul from childhood. Many still have sin that is plentiful in their lives, pride, unforgiveness, anger, sicknesses, gossip, lying and sexual sin. Sadly the truth is that most will still have more fruit of the flesh than they do the spirit after spending years in the church. Just because you make an initial decision to follow Christ (or “ask Jesus into your heart”) doesn’t mean that demons have to leave your soul (mind, will and emotions). In fact they won’t leave you as long as they have legal rights to stay. Why would they leave you alone if you are giving them rights to stay through unforgiveness, pride and sin?

Derek Prince stated that some of the most dangerous people in the world are those with the Holy Spirit and demonic spirits, which describes many church attenders sadly. It’s because these people know how to act like Christians in public, attending church regularly, giving tithes, some operating with the gifts of tongues and being able to prophesy but then they continue to behave in evil fleshly ways behind closed doors with anger, jealousy, pride, sexual impurity, lust, control, manipulation, lying, gossip and hurting people. He said we get the Holy Spirit in order to help guide us to get delivered of our demonic spirits by forgiving those who hurt us completely from our hearts, repenting for pride and sin. We need to still get healed of our soul wounds (wounds from our childhood and beyond) through forgiving all who hurt us (like Jesus taught in Matthew 6:14-15 and Matthew 18:21-35) repenting for our pride and sin and getting delivered from demonic spirits so we can eventually walk in the fruit of the spirit with sin being rare in our lives.
