Does Hostess really expect us to believe that a naval captain would have charted a course unknowingly hitting a waterfall? I think this was a clear suicide attempt by the Captain, especially after having his ship being downgraded to a tugboat. Fortunately, Twinkie the Kid saw this cry for attention, and came to the rescue. I however will not forgive the Captain for endangering the lives of children. Or at least I won't think about it when I indulge in the chocolately goodness of a Hostess Cupcake.

I may be in the minority here but does anyone get annoyed seeing Twinkie the Kid randomly walk into these commercials to save the day but he does it coming off as the worlds biggest glory seeking asshole when he does it?
I mean dont get me wrong,hes the Hostess brand's flagship character/undisputed leader of the Hostess universe but does he have to be shoehorned into EVERY commercial thats introducing a new product in such a manner that he degrades the character that the commercial is MAINLY FOR to such a position that you cant envision that character as anything besides a useless sidekick?
Like look at Captain Cupcake in this commercial...hes a Captain(in title or a legit one,hes supposed to be an actual Captain judging from the voice) or so he says,but he looks like an idiot that doesnt know his hand from his ass in this commercial and actually cries out for Twinkie the Kid to save him.
After seeing a meltdown like that,how could any kid see him as anything but a massive wuss?
Thats the thing with animated characters when you tell a story with them,you should never shoehorn your main character with a side and book the side as a chump..trust the side character can appeal to the audience and if not,then thats just it-when you dont do your characters that justice,you disrespect them as well as the person who made them.
