Watching you inspired me to get a 2nd hand Samson Graphite 25 (on the way) but just realised NO ARPEGGIATOR! 😱 Aaaaargh!
Was a guitarist until sepsis took some fingers from my chord hand about a decade ago. I'm finally clambering out of the pit. It just doesn't feel right not making music!
All of you out there, check out the early symptoms of sepsis. It's quick but if you catch it early enough you can limit any damage.
Being a guitarist, one & a half fingers on my left hand were WAY harder to cope with than the two feet that went the same way.
I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy & it's the extremities that go first. I mean, we'd all be stuffed without our fingers right? There's prosthetics for legs but the impact of just a couple of fingers getting deleted is huge if you're a musician.
So, I'm on a steep learning curve with MIDI, VSTs, VSTis, DAWs. Gonna sample my Japanese Aria Pro II ZZ DeLuxe from the early 80s and hopefully I can make some noise again!
But, first, thanks for the kick up the arse and go check out the symptoms of sepsis. Speed is everything (no change there then 😆) & if I can stop just one muso from that "Oh bugger! My fingers!" when you surface from the long, long climb back to reality from coma it'll be worth it.

I'm feeling loads more like me now I have a musical project. Feels like that day in 1984 when I bought my first guitar from a 2nd hand shop (yup, the Aria), so much to learn!
