In high pressure areas many would be hesitant and in low pressure areas they donāt care about the line most of the time. Keep in mind the hook is more than a quarter of the bluegills body length in this video. I also think it depends on species, sunfish probably donāt care but other fish like trout might.

Bass don't care so much about line visibility especially when it's a reaction strike but carp sure do especially grass carp lol those guys are very cautious, even the ones that have never been caught before just know somehow something's up lol a lot of people hate them but they sure are fun to catch lol.
