What if BSE NSE Get Shutdown?
We'll, these are govt registered entities. And the nature of their business is quite simple. They earn "dp charges" when we sell shares.
In a way, as long as Indians are buying and selling shares, cdsl and nsdl will keep earning.

Even then, the shares stored with them are safe because they are in our name. If something were to happen with cdsl, we can simply move our shares to a new depository. Although it's highly unlikely that such thing would happen, because entire India depends on it. That way, they are too big to fail and govt will not let it happen
