mother teresa of calcutta has great quotes on forgiveness , she asks us to forgive despite the cruelty unkindness ungratefulness and evil of the world. then she says :

It can become difficult to forgive when it comes from some form of hate and hate breeds resentments.. Resentment can also bring a person to a dark place that not only is it hate of whatever but hate of the self and a constant bickering within the mind or soul. Theses things can make a person hard to be around and in time they can fall into escapism or some form of addiction. Even though some are called to hate the sin and love the sinner. I feel and believe it is harder for people to love and or it is the lack there of that brings about forms of suffering.. An old school saying, "what is love" or "what has love got to do with it"?... ... Take care
